Organised by the English Department, English Week brought together a vibrant series of activities designed to immerse students in the world of language through the engaging theme of pop culture. Students explored English in creative, interactive, and meaningful ways throughout the week.
Throughout the week, classrooms were enlivened with song recommendations inspired by pop culture, while curated playlists were also shared on the club’s Instagram page. These selections encouraged students to connect language learning with music, allowing Logosians to appreciate how lyrics convey emotion, storytelling, and cultural trends.
A highlight of the week was the series of interactive game booths, organised in collaboration with the History Club. These booths combined elements of music and pop culture, offering fun and educational challenges that fostered collaboration and curiosity among students.
The much-anticipated Spelling Bee showcased the linguistic talents of our students, as participants demonstrated their vocabulary, confidence, and precision in a lively and supportive environment.
The week concluded with an inspiring morning assembly sharing by singer-songwriter Ms Jaime Cheung. She shared her passion for music, the inspiration behind her songwriting, and her journey in the entertainment industry. Her authentic and heartfelt sharing encouraged Logosians to pursue their interests with creativity and perseverance.
English Week not only strengthened students’ language skills but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the role of English in global culture and everyday life.
